Lawsuit abuse legislation that would help to protect medical professionals who share information with the families of patients was recently approved by the House Judiciary Committee.

Bill sponsor Rep. Keith Gillespie (R-York), said this bill takes legal pressure off caregivers who may wish to offer explanations to a patient’s family following a medical treatment that had a negative outcome.
