Upcoming Programs Explore Cancer Awareness and Prevention
1 min read(Northumberland) — The Pennsylvania Department of Health (Department) wants you to know more about cancer and is offering free educational programs about colorectal, ovarian, prostate, and skin cancers in communities throughout the Commonwealth through their new signature program called the Pennsylvania Cancer Education Network (PCEN).
Each PCEN cancer program is presented by a trained health educator and combines a slide presentation, materials, and group interaction to present valuable information about cancer to fit the time available at community organizations, groups, schools, or worksites, from brief 20 minute lectures to expanded seminars covering more than one type of cancer. To schedule a free program, please contact Clinical Outcomes Group, Inc. at (800) 264-1290 or (570) 628-6990, or tzanis@COGInc.org.
The PCEN is funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and supplemented with funds the Department receives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
