Butler Community College Pitches Online Courses

Donna Kilhoffer of the Butler Community College spoke to the Coudersport Rotary Club earlier this month about the benefits of online college courses.   Butler College serves 11 County Region and offers the 1st two years of community college courses to residents of rural counties such as Potter County via the internet.

The college began offering online courses in January by offering a Business Management Degree and a General Studies degree.  According to Kilhoffer, there is an automatic transfer of credits earned through Butler College to other state system schools.Students can get an associates degree at ½ the cost of onsite education with internet credits costing approximately $203/credit, added Kilhoffer.
