Detour on Route 44 to begin Aug. 10
SWEDEN TWP. – A detour will be in place on Route 44, at the bridge which spans Mill Creek, near the Route 44 and Route 6 intersection, beginning on August 10.
Deck repair work will bring a three to seven day detour using Route 3006 (Ice Mine Road) and Route 6.
A temporary traffic signal will then be in place. The signal will be operational on Aug. 16 and will enforce an alternating traffic pattern.
Work includes wing wall repairs, beam encasements and deck repairs.
Work is expected to take about three months.
