1 min readFrom Potter County Today
Potter County Area Agency on Aging is still distributing senior farmers’ market nutrition program checks to Potter County senior citizens. Each senior citizen receives a set of four $5.00 checks per year. The checks can be picked up at most senior centers and may be redeemed at approved farmers’ markets. County residents 60 or older are eligible for the checks if their income does not exceed $20,147 for single-person households, $27,214 for couples, and higher threshholds for larger households. The checks may be used to purchase select vegetables and fruits. Proof of age and address are required. For more information, contact Barb Kiel, Potter County Area Agency on Aging, 544-7315.
