Domestic Violence Awareness Vigil Scheduled Monday

Members of the public are encouraged to show their support for the battle against domestic violence during a quiet candlelight ceremony on Monday, Oct. 17, at 6 pm in the Coudersport Arboretum.
Leaders of the local domestic violence victims’ services organization, A Way Out, will lead the service in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Theme is unity at the local, state and national levels.
Purpose of Monday’s gathering is to memorialize the victims of domestic violence, celebrate and support the survivors, and connect those who work to prevent it. A Way Out is staffed by trained workers who can be reached any time at 274-0240 or toll-free at 1-877-334-3136.
