County Employee Wellness Group Launches Contest

Potter County’s Employee Wellness Committee has announced that the starting bell will sound on Wednesday, Jan. 10, to launch this year’s Biggest Loser Contest. Potter County employees claimed the state championship among their counterparts in 2009 and they’re out to demonstrate similar resolve this time around. The real prize is better health and weight loss, which studies consistently show will improve productivity. Weigh-ins will be held weekly and the contest will run for 10 weeks, concluding on March 30. Registration fees paid by the participants will be used for prizes going to those who experience the highest percentage of weight loss.
