Snow Drift to Blame for Route 49 Crash Today
1 min readHARRISON TWP. – Five teenagers suffered minor injuries and were transported to CCMH as the result of a crash that happened this afternoon.
Police said five teenagers from New York were traveling along Route 49 when they struck a snow bank, lost control and then traveled down an embankment. Another driver from New York, 27-year-old Tensu A. Hathorn, was traveling behind the teenagers. Police said Tensu spun out of control upon hitting the snow-drift and subsequently crashed into the teenager’s car.
Tensu was uninjured according to a news release.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Gaines Garage. Ulysses and Harrison Valley fire departments, Medic 6 and ambulances from Ulysses and Genesee assisted at the scene.
