Cutting Edge Gymnastics Team Takes 2nd Place
Last weekend, Cutting Edge Gymnastics of Coudersport, PA traveled to Williamsport for their Climb High Invitational, a USAG private club competition. Twenty-one gymnasts from Level 3-8, and Novice Prep Optional represented Cutting Edge Gymnastics. Cutting Edge fought hard and stayed strong throughout the intense competition. The Level 3 Team had an outstanding performance and brought home a 2nd place team award. Leading the Level 3 Team was Keelin Morales taking the All Arounds with a 36.00. She also was also the bars and floor champ, with a 9.15 and 9.425 respectively, for her age division. Morales also placed 5th on beam with an 8.275. Other Level 3 All Around awards went to Mikaella Corah-34.05-7th, Joplin Osgood-34.625-5th, and Jordan Brewer-34.95-4th. Level 4’s Emily Laurore was also able to capture a 3rd place All Around with a 35.75 marking her highest numbers yet and qualifying her once again for the State competition in March. Others placing in the top 3 for individual events were Level 3: Hannah Elenchin-floor-8.70-3rd, Joplin Osgood-beam-9.125-1st, Jordan Brewer-beam-2nd, Level 4: Brianna Foy-vault-9.20-3rd, floor-9.525-1st, Emily Laurore-vault-9.325-3rd, beam-8.85-2nd, and Level 7: Courtney Newhouse-floor-9.0-3rd.
Cutting Edge also added several scores into the 9.0 and All Around Clubs at the competition.
