Kathy A. Sallade Memorial 9-Ball Tournament a Success
2 min readRecently, the Coudersport Pool League held its fifth annual “Kathy A. Sallade Memorial 9-Ball Tournament” at Mosch’s Country Tavern. This year’s event raised $1,100 which was donated to the PattersonCancerCenter at CharlesColeMemorialHospital in Coudersport, PA.
A record-setting number of 57 players attended the tournament, which was won by Doug Glenn of Eldred, PA. The runner-up was Nate Ball of Sinnemahoning, PA. The “last woman standing” was Donna Sallade of Coudersport.
Kathy Sallade was a big believer in keeping money local and would be honored that Patterson Cancer Center is the recipient of this donation in her name. The
Center not only provides chemotherapy and radiation therapy close to home, but the staff also focuses on each patient’s total well-being, offering massage therapy and beautiful views of their Zen garden and labyrinth, while volunteers provide company and emotional support. The Coudersport Pool League has been proud to annually support this local healthcare facility and they appreciate the support of those who made this year’s event possible.
This donation could not have been reached without the following sponsors and cash contributors: Always in Bloom, Anderson’s Garage, Best Buys, Buchanan Brothers Pharmacy, Coudersport Beverage, Fox’s Pizza, The Friendly Inn, Morgan AM&T, Mosch’s Country Tavern, Olga’s Art Cafe, Original Italian Pizza, Sheetz, Stoltz of Coudersport, Subway Restaurant, Twin Tier Services LLC (David Goodwin & Barry Bradley), Valley Hardware, and Wagner’s Ace Hardware. Individual donations were made by Joan Appleby, Doug Glenn, Bill Sallade, Donna Sallade, Justin Sheldon, and Minelle Snay. Special thanks to the Potter Leader Enterprise, Solomon’s Words, and WPIG for their promotion of the event.
The Coudersport Pool League would lastly like to thank the 57 players and their guests for the incredible turnout! We hope to see you all again next year!
