“Maple Weekend” Tours Available Sunday
2 min readMore than a dozen area maple syrup producers opened their doors to the public this weekend for the eighth annual “Maple Weekend.” Hours Sunday (March 25) are 10 am to 4 pm. The goal is to promote the potential of maple syruping in the region and increase public awareness of the industry. Participants will be able to witness tree-tapping and production of maple syrup, maple sugar and other products. Operators will describe the production process and answer questions. Potter/Tioga Maple Producers Assn., formed in 1963, sponsors the tour. Details can be found on the website, pamaple.com. Potter County operations on the tour include:
