Voter Registration Deadline Today!
1 min readMonday (March 26) is the deadline for registering to vote in Pennsylvania’s April 24 Primary Election. To be eligible to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen at least 18 years old, have been a resident of Pennsylvania and live in your voting district for at least 30 days. Monday is also the deadline for making changes to your registration, including party affiliation. Only registered Republicans or Democrats can vote in the primary and only for candidates in their own party.
Voter registration forms are available online at votespa.com and in the Voter Registration Office on the first flood of the F. W. Gunzburger County Office Building in Coudersport. Phone number is 274-8467. More information is available on the county’s website, pottercountypa.net (under “Departments,” click on Elections/Voter Registration). Voters in the April 24 election will be asked to show a photo identification. A photo ID will not be required in order to vote, but will be required for all voters in this fall’s election, to comply with the state’s new voter ID law.
