Oswayo Valley Loves Our Public Library!
1 min readDue to the deep budget cuts that public libraries have suffered the last few years, a benefit for the Oswayo Valley Memorial Library will be held on Friday, March 30th. Students and staff of the Oswayo Valley School District are demonstrating their love for libraries by sponsoring a “Library Night” at the O.V. Middle/High School. The night begins with a soup and sandwich supper from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. Dinner is $5 per person or $20 per family of four or more. During the supper, the Friends of the Library will have baked goods available for purchase. OV staff members are donating raffle items including a maple product basket, Scensty gift basket, a Pebble Beach golf art print, children’s books, and more! Raffle tickets will be sold during the dinner hours and through the first volleyball game of the evening. The volleyball games will start at 7 p.m. with a student team going against a staff team in a 3 game series. Admission to the game is by donation.
The Oswayo Valley Memorial Library serves Shinglehouse Borough, Sharon Township, Oswayo Borough, Oswayo Township, Ceres Township, Clara Township and Hebron Township. Residents, their families and friends should join the students and staff of the Oswayo Valley School District as they raise money for this important community resource. All proceeds and donations will be given to the library.
