Pennsylvania has new Earth Day website

A new interactive Earth Day section on the Department of Environmental Protection website offers a one-stop shop for information about Earth Day and environmental events around the state, including information about the many cleanups and events in state parks and forests.

The “Earth Day Central 2012” page has several features, including the Earth Day proclamation from Governor Corbett; an interactive calendar searchable by county, where event planners can promote their activities; biographies of environmental professionals with information about environmental careers; and links to educational resources.

Earth Day is Sunday, April 22, and this year’s theme is “Honoring Pennsylvania’s Environmental Public Servants.” To view the site, visit here.
