Crash Results in Injury

Investigator Craig Wharton of the Mansfield PSP reports on a crash which occurred on 4-17-12 at 1450 hours on US Highway 6 213 feet west of T662.  A 1997 Subaru Outback driven by Ellen Wilcox, 81, of Wellsboro was travelling east on SR6.  A 2000 Ford Taurus driven by Tiffany Redman, 26, of Wellsboro was travelling west on SR6.  Wilcox attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot and turned in front of Redman.  The right front of Redmond’s vehicle struck the right rear tire area of the Subaru.  Both units suffered damage.  Neither driver was injured, however a passenger in Redman’s vehicle, Jason Gile, 27, of Wellsboro received an injury and was transported to Wellsboro Hospital by Wellsboro Ambulance Service.  Another passenger in Redmond’s vehicle, Jessica Gile, 28, of Wellsboro, was not injured.
