Deer/Jeep Crash

Investigator Daniel Denucci of the Mansfield PSP reports on a crash which occurred on 4-17-12 at 0130 hours on SR287 approximately 620 feet north of Bradshaw Road in Lawrence Twp, Tioga County.  A 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Leslie Jelliff, 48, of Westfield was travelling north on SR287 when a deer entered the roadway from the west berm.  Jelliff immediately applied the brakes in an attempt to avoid impact with the deer.  The front of the Jeep impacted the deer, then came to final rest in the east berm facing the north direction.  The Jeep sustained moderate damage and was not functional.  Jelliff and her passenger, Kevin Jelliff, 20, also of Westfield, were both seatbelted and received no injuries.  No charges to be filed.
