Crash on SR 49

Investigator Justin LeMarie of the Coudersport PSP reports on a crash which occurred on 4-12-12 at 7:21 hours on State Highway 49, 459 feet south of Miles Road.  James R. Mastin, 37, of Westfield, PA was driving his 2004 Jeep Liberty westbound on SR 49, which is a two-lane, bi-directional, asphalt paved road which is separated with a double solid yellow line.  While he was travelling westbound on SR 49 he crossed over the double yellow line into the eastbound lane of travel and then hit an embankment on the left side of the road.  Upon hitting the embankment, the Jeep rolled over onto its roof causing damage to the front, rear and top of the vehicle.  The Jeep was in its final resting place facing eastbound on its roof on the eastbound shoulder of the roadway.  Mastin was transported to CCMH by TriCounty EMS with a minor injury.  He will be charged with VC3364.
