Coudersport Teen Suffers Major Injury in Crash
1 min readHEBRON TWP. – A Coudersport teenager was transported to CCMH for treatment of major injuries following a crash on Route 44 Tuesday morning.
Police say 18-year-old George Wyatt was traveling south when his passenger-side tire exited the pavement. Wyatt then overcompensated in an effort to the correct the vehicle, which resulted in it spinning counter-clockwise and eventually flipping over onto its roof.
Police say Wyatt, who was not wearing a proper seatbelt at the time of the crash, was able to free himself from the car. He was later taken to Charles Cole Memorial Hospital where it was discovered he had suffered injuries to his back.
Wyatt will be charged for speeding and not wearing a seatbelt.
His car, a 2004 Saturn Ion, suffered disabling damage and was towed from the the scene by Kightlinger Motors.
