Teen Saves Man’s Life at Letchworth State Park
1 min readLEICESTER, N.Y. – An Ohio teenager is being credited with saving a man’s life at Letchworth State Park on Sunday.
Police in New York say 19-year-old Vincent Gill, a trained lifeguard, jumped into the Genesee River to rescue 26-year-old Abdulma Alhari, of Rochester, who slipped into the river while traversing an area closed to the public.
Officials have since nominated Gill for a civilian lifesaving award, saying his actions likely averted tragedy.
