Goodwill Industries has opened a retail store in Coudersport at the former Movie Gallery building on Rt. 6 West. Most of the merchandise is gently used or new clothing. The store also has toys, stuffed animals, kitchen and household items, curtains, bedding items, shoes, coats, books and DVDs. Inventory will expand over time. Hours are 9 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday, and noon to 5 Sundays. Residents can continue to drop off items at the attended donation center located behind the Coudersport Post Office every day from 11 to 7. Goodwill Industries is a national, non-profit organization. Almost 90 percent of the revenue generated through the retail store helps those with disabilities or disadvantaged situations through opportunities for education, training and work.
