Passing of Robert R. Schoonover, 74, of Westfield, PA

Robert R. SCHOONOVER, 74, of Westfield, PA, died Friday, June 29, 2012 in the Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, PA.

Born April 10, 1938, in Knoxville, PA, he was the son of Roe and Leona Jeffers Schoonover.  On February 26, 1965, in Cowanesque, PA, he married the former Clara Green, who survives.  He was employed by MacKnight’s Agway in Westfield.

Surviving besides his wife, Clara, are:  five children, Richard Berg of Millersburg, PA, Mary Erny of Corning, NY, Janice (Ronald) Tomb of Westfield, Margery (Duane) McCutcheon of Westfield, and Robert (Rhonda) Schoonover, Jr. of Coudersport;  eight grandchildren;  two great-grandchildren;  three sisters, Bernice (Robert) Steadman of Knoxville, Cathy (Gordon) Robinson of Woodhull, NY, Roberta Boom of Elkland, PA;  nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Marion VanGorden.  A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 PM, Monday, July 2, 2012 in the Westfield United Methodist Church.  The Rev. Deborah L. Watkins will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sabinsville Volunteer Ambulance, Sabinsville, PA 16943.
