Jail Nurse Wanted
Mckean County is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team at the County Jail. This position offers flexibility, with the option to work full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate’s preference. As an LPN at the County Jail, the primary responsibilities will include assessing patients, performing physicals, ordering medications, and providing essential healthcare services to inmates.
In addition to these core duties, the successful candidate will be required to conduct various medical tests, such as blood draws, urine samples, and pregnancy testing, as well as maintain accurate and up-to-date records. The LPN will also be responsible for training inmates and staff on health-related issues, working independently and as part of a team, and making critical decisions in high-pressure situations. Furthermore, the LPN will be expected to fill in for the Mental Health provider as needed, providing guidance and counseling to inmates.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a minimum of one year of experience working with adults in a treatment setting and hold a valid LPN license.
