Thompson Seeks 10th Term
Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson has announced his candidacy for a 10th term in Pennsylvania’s 15th Congressional District. As the senior member of Pennsylvania’s Congress, with 17 years of experience, Thompson expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve and highlighted the importance of collaboration and hard work in overcoming the challenges of modern politics.
Thompson, who currently chairs the House Committee on Agriculture, has been a strong supporter of President Donald Trump and has worked closely with him on various initiatives. One notable achievement was the signing of the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, a long-standing goal for Thompson. He has also been a vocal advocate for rural America, supporting the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill.
In addition to his work with Trump, Thompson has focused on various local issues, including access to breast cancer care for veterans, establishing a Scouting America Day, and ensuring passport services remain available in libraries. His commitment to his constituents has been evident throughout his tenure, and he continues to prioritize their needs.
Thompson’s announcement comes as he faces a challenge from Democrat Ray Bilger, a State College resident who has been an outspoken critic of the congressman. Bilger, an Air Force veteran, has organized protests outside Thompson’s office and has now thrown his hat into the ring, seeking to unseat the incumbent. The election is expected to be highly contested, with both candidates vying for the support of their constituents.
As the campaign season heats up, Thompson is set to join supporters and the Centre County Republican Party for a petition signing event on February 21. The event will provide an opportunity for Thompson to connect with his constituents and outline his vision for the district’s future.
