Former Miss USA to Return to Wellsville

The 12th annual Great Wellsville Balloon Rally Parade will march south on Main Street starting at 11 a.m. Saturday.
One of the largest parades held in Wellsville, organizer Rich Mangels said, “The purpose of the Great Wellsville Balloon Rally Parade is to get everyone excited about the Great Wellsville Balloon Rally.”
The balloon rally, itself, gets underway on July 18 with events throughout the week leading up to lift-off on Friday evening.
Historically the Great Wellsville Balloon Rally Parade was organized when Ken Lotter was chairman of the balloon rally in 1999 and an area girl, Kimberly Pressler of Franklinville, won the 1999 Miss USA Pageant. Previously Miss New York Teen USA in 1994, Pressler was queen of the first parade riding on a diamond ring float and presiding over that year’s rally.
