PITTSBURGH (AP) ― The state attorney general won’t file criminal charges against a male state trooper accused of harassing and wrongly ticketing a female police chief who says she rejected the trooper’s advances, a spokesman says.
“We conducted an investigation, and we closed the case because the allegations, even if they could be proven, did not rise to the level of prosecutable criminal conduct,” state prosecutor’s office spokesman Nils Frederiksen said Thursday.
Mount Jewett police Chief Nataliya Miroslavna claims she was wrongly ticketed in November for speeding by Kane-based Trooper Dale Vukovich Jr. and was otherwise harassed, including being pushed and berated by the trooper at a district judge’s office.
