At Least One Dead, Five Injured in Route 6 Crash Today
1 min readMCKEAN CO. – At least one person is dead and another five injured following a head-on crash on Route 6 in McKean County this afternoon.
Officials say the crash happened just after 2:00 pm when a van crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a pickup truck head-on.
Killed in the crash was a passenger in the front seat of the van. The driver was reported to have suffered major injuries and was airlifted to an out-of-town hospital. Also suffering major injuries were two rear seat passengers.
An 11-year-old female was also taken by medical helicopter to Buffalo Children’s Hospital for treatment of major injuries.
At the time of this posting authorities had not released names of the victims, pending notification of family members.
