Attempted Murder Charges Proceed
A recent hearing before District Judge Bill Todd has resulted in all charges against Matthew Luke being bound to court. Luke, a 28-year-old resident of Lafferty Hollow Road in Bradford, faces a multitude of serious charges, including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and terroristic threats.
According to the allegations, the incident occurred on December 6 at 3:40 a.m. when state police responded to a domestic assault call on Route 646 in Keating Township. It is alleged that Luke entered his ex-girlfriend’s home, where a physical altercation ensued, and he struck her in the face with a gun. As a second woman attempted to flee the scene in her vehicle, Luke allegedly fired at her car, shattering the driver’s window and causing her to crash. Fortunately, the woman was able to escape on foot.
Luke was later apprehended and is currently being held at the McKean County Jail on $1 million bail. The severity of the charges and the significant bail amount reflect the gravity of the alleged crimes. As the case proceeds, it will be crucial to examine the evidence and witness testimony to determine the outcome.
