Attempted Rape in Sharon Township; Blauvelt Arrested

Trooper David A. Durra reports that in December of 2011 Darren Allan Blauvelt, 19, of Shinglehouse, PA attempted to have unwanted sexual intercourse with a known 12 year old female juvenile at a private residence in Sharon Township, Potter County.  Blauvelt was taken into custody on 4-3-12 without incident and arraigned before MDJ Easton on charges of PACC 901-3121(c), Attempted Rape of a Child(F1); PACC 901-3122.1, ttempted Statutory Sexual Assault(F2); PACC 2709, Harassment(S).  Blauvelt was released on $25,000 unsecured bail.  PSP Coudersport was assisted by Potter County Children and Youth Services.  This investigation continues.
