Austin Man Escapes Injury in Hit-and-Run

PORTAGE TWP. – An Austin man escaped injury when an unknown motorist struck his car, and then fled the crash scene.

Police say the incident happened on November 25 as 59-year-old Ross E. Seltzer, Jr. was traveling north on Route 607. Police say an unknown driver, who was traveling in the opposite direction, struck Seltzer’s car and then continued driving south without stopping.

Police believe the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run to be a small car – dark green or black in color.
