• The Fourth of July is the deadliest day of the year for drivers across the U.S. More vehicles crash on America’s birthday than any other holiday.
• 51 percent of all deadly traffic crashes on July 4 are related to alcohol
• An estimated 3 in every 10 Americans will be involved in a DUI related crash in their lifetime
• On average someone is killed by a drunk driver every 40 minutes – and every 4 minutes during the 4th of July.(NHSTA 2008)
