Belfast Man Sentenced in Potter County Court
1 min readCOUDERSPORT – A Belfast, NY man has been sentenced in Potter County Court.
Twenty-one-year-old Andrew Welk was sentenced to 12 months probation, a fine of $250.00, restitution in the amount of $225.00 and ordered to perform 20 hours of community service on charges of theft by unlawful taking.
On July 17, 2010 State Police responded to the Nine Mile Hotel for a report of missing bicycles. After an investigation, police made contact with Welk’s co-defendant, who admitted to stealing the bicycles along with Welk, in order to travel back to New York from Potter County.
Welk was sentenced on June 1. Potter County District Attorney Andy J. Watson prosecuted the case against Welk, who was represented by Walter Stenhach, Esq.
