2 min readCOUDERSPORT – A Roulette man who caused damage at the Friendly Inn in Roulette and then led police on a high speed chase before slamming into an Austin police car, has been sentenced in Potter County Court.
Kyle Bonneau, 21, of Roulette, was sentenced on April 20 for numerous crimes.
On June 12, 2010 State Police responded to the Friendly Inn, Roulette Township, after Bonneau caused significant property damage after being ‘shut off’. Upon arrival State Police spoke with the victim and observed damage to the property due to the defendant throwing bar stools around the bar area.
Later that day, Austin Police attempted to pull Bonneau over, after he was observed crashing into a soda-pop vending machine and hitting two windows at Long’s Game Room on Main Street in Austin. Bonneau refused to stop his vehicle for police, instead continuing south on Route 155, at which point State Police provided assistance in stopping Bonneau’s vehicle.
Police said Bonneau eventually lost control of his pickup truck and spun around facing an Austin Police car, at which point he accelerated full speed and slammed into the police car.
Police were then able to take Bonneau into custody. Police said at the time he was observed to be intoxicated, but refused a blood test after being transported to CCMH.
