Bradford Police Bust Major Drug Operation
A significant drug bust was conducted by the City of Bradford Police Department, resulting in the arrest of 22-year-old Lex Michael Gourley. The operation, which took place on October 28, 2025, was initiated when Officer Colby Keane stopped Gourley’s vehicle on West Washington Street for driving under suspension.
Further investigation revealed that Gourley had provided false identification and had an active arrest warrant out of McKean County. A search of his person uncovered a large amount of cash and fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance. Subsequently, a search warrant was executed on the vehicle, leading to the seizure of a substantial quantity of illegal drugs, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, suspected oxycodone, and marijuana.
The drugs were found to be packaged in 12 separate individual bags, along with weighing scales, indicating an intent to deliver. Gourley was initially taken into custody on the county bench warrant and later charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of controlled substances, possession of paraphernalia, and driving under suspension. Magistrate Todd set bail at $25,000, and preliminary hearings are scheduled.
The City of Bradford Police Department has reaffirmed its commitment to combating drug crimes, utilizing all available resources to arrest and prosecute individuals involved in these activities. Chief of Police Michael P. Ward expressed pride in the diligent work of Officer Keane and the entire department, stating that they will continue to work tirelessly to keep the city safe and hold those responsible for drug-related crimes accountable.
