Bradford Woman Pleads Guilty

A Bradford woman has pleaded guilty to delivering cocaine on multiple occasions. Nateka Shugars, who was arrested in July 2025 as part of a drug sweep by the McKean County Drug Task Force, entered her guilty plea before a judge at the McKean County Courthouse on January 8th.

Shugars admitted to delivering cocaine three times between March 27, 2024, and July 24, 2025. Her guilty plea is the result of a lengthy investigation by the McKean County Drug Task Force, which had been monitoring her activities. Shugars will be sentenced in March.

The McKean County Drug Task Force has been actively working to combat drug activity in the area. In July 2025, the task force arrested four individuals, including Shugars, as part of a crackdown on drug sales. The other individuals arrested included Katlyn Buterbaugh, Brian Fitzpatrick, and Guy Simmons, who were all charged with various drug-related offenses.

The McKean County District Attorney’s Office is encouraging residents to report any suspected drug activity to Chief County Detective Ryan Yingling at (814) 887-3312 or by visiting McKeanDA.org. The ongoing efforts of the task force demonstrate the commitment to addressing the issue of drug activity in the community.
