BREAKING: Mubarak has Resigned, Military Controls Egypt
1 min readEGYPT – President Hosni Mubarak has resigned and turned over control of Egypt to the military, says Egypt’s Vice President Omar Suleiman.
“In these difficult circumstances that the country is passing through, President Hosni Mubarak has decided to leave the position of the presidency,” Suleiman said. He has commissioned the armed forces council to direct the issues of the state.”
Suleiman’s announcement on television was greeted with a roar of cheers and exhilaration from the mobs of protesters still in the streets.
