Bridge Replacement to Start on Eleven Mile Run Road, June 4

AUSTIN – Deck replacement work will get underway June 4 on a small bridge on Route 3003, in Sylvania Township. Replacement of the deck will allow PennDOT to remove the 17-ton and 31-ton weight postings on the bridge. The 15-foot bridge spans Eleven Mile Run on Route 3003 (First Fork Road), a few miles east of Austin.

PennDOT Potter County Maintenance will perform the work, which is expected to last through July 13. Route 3003 will be closed during deck work and a detour will be in place. The detour will use Route 3003 and Route 872.

All work is weather and schedule dependent. Drivers are reminded to obey posted speed limits, follow detour signs and always buckle up.
