Bridge Work to begin on Pusher Siding Road, July 19
1 min readClearfield –Work to repair a bridge on Route 1009 (Pusher Siding Road) in Potter County will begin on Tuesday, July 19. The bridge spans Ludington Run in Ulysses Township, two miles north of the village of Newfield. Through August 31, crews from PennDOT Potter County Maintenance will be working replace the deck and beams of the existing bridge. All work is weather dependent.
With Route 1009 closed, a detour using Routes 49 and 1011 Ulysses-Hickox Road) will be in place. Signage will be in place to alert drivers to the closure.
The current bridge was built in 1980 and carries average daily traffic of 130 vehicles. The bridge is currently posted for 8 tons for single vehicles and 11 tons for combination vehicles. This repair work will allow PennDOT to remove the posting.
