Chainsaw Carvers from Around the World Attend Elk Co. Festival

ELK CO. – Hundreds of people from all over the world are attending this year’s annual Elk County festival.
From as far away as Sweden, Norway and Germany, an estimated 200 hundred chainsaw carvers have descended upon Ridgway for this year’s festivities.
Hundreds more have made the journey to watch the masterful chainsaw artisans, who create detailed sculptures from logs with chainsaws.
The festival continues through this week.
As a finale, the carvers will auction off their masterpieces.
