Charles Cole Memorial Hospital Open House will Showcase New Pulmonary Function Test Lab

Coudersport — Charles Cole Memorial Hospital (CCMH) recently received new state-of-the-art PFT equipment which enables them to provide full pulmonary function testing (PFT) services to patients in their Cardiopulmonary Department.

The new lung function tests at CCMH are available to patients ages 5 and up. The CCMH cardiopulmonary team provides spirometry, whole body plethysmography, carbon monoxide diffusion capacity, respiratory muscle strength and lung compliance. Exercise and bronchial inhalation challenges may be applied as provocative tests of airway reactivity.

The public is invited to tour the PFT lab during a National Hospital Week open house from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on May 9 through May 11 in the CCMH Cardiopulmonary Department, 1001 East Second Street in Coudersport, PA. Attendees can take a free spirometry lung test, receive cardiopulmonary health information and ask questions of the CCMH respiratory professionals.
