Closed State Roads Across Five Counties in PennDOT District 2
2 min readClearfield – Heavy rains that have moved through the area overnight are causing flooding in some areas. The following state highways are closed in north central/south central PA at this time:
Centre County Roads now expected to re-open around 6pm
SR 2008 (Sinking Creek Road/Fire Hall Road) from Egg Hill Road in Potter Township to Fire Hall Road in Gregg Township;
SR 2018 (Woodward Cave Road) from Coburn Road in Penn Township to Ingelby Road in Haines Township;
SR 2012 (Cooper Street/Penns Cave Road/Penns Creek Road/Water Street) from Kline Road in Gregg Township to Coburn Road in Penn Township;
Lane Restriction: SR 3012 (Puddintown Road) in College Township. Eastbound lane closed from College Avenue to Orchard Road. Traffic alternating in westbound lane. Restriction expected to be lifted around 6pm
OPEN: SR 2010 (Upper Georges Valley Road) from Bible Road in Potter Township to Egg Hill Road in Potter Township;
Clinton County
SR 2004 (Mackeyville Road/Furnace Road/Maple Ave./Fishing Creek Road) between Heltman Road in Porter Township to Rag Valley Road in Lamar Township; expected to re-open around 3pm.
Elk County
SR 3002 (Loleta Road/Main Street/ Laurel Mills Road) from River Road in Spring Township to Arroyo Road in Spring Creek Township; expected to re-open around 3pm.
Juniata County
SR 3005 in Walker Township between SR 75 and Chicken Plant Road (Cedar Spring Road/Nelson Road/Chicken Plant Road); expected to re-open around 4pm.
Mifflin County
SR 1002 (Logan Street/Walnut Street/New Lancaster Valley Road) from Lynn Ave. in Brown Township to Siglerville Road in Armagh Township; expected to re-open around 3pm.
SR 1003 (Siglerville Road) from Barefoot Road in Armagh Township to Madison Road in Armagh Township; expected to re-open around 3pm.
SR 1001 (Naginey Road) from Siglerville Pike in Armagh Township to Honey Creek Road in Armagh Township; expected to re-open around 3pm.
SR 103 from Bridge Street in Wayne Township to Wharton Road in Wayne Township; Expected to re-open around 7pm.
Drivers may also encounter roadways with water on them. Do not attempt to drive through standing water on roadways. Water may be deeper than it appears.
