Correction: Local Blood Drive Information

CORRECTION: An earlier article announced two local blood drives; one at the Austin Fire Hall tomorrow, July 27, and one at the St. Eulalia Church in Coudersport on Thursday, July 28.

It should be noted that the blood drive on Thursday at the St. Eulalia Church is for the American Red Cross, while the blood drive in Austin is for the Community Blood Bank.

While both organizations have announced critical blood shortages, the distinction should be made that blood donated through the Community Blood Bank is used locally at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, however blood donated to the Red Cross is not.
