Coudersport Youth Football League Kicks off Practice
1 min readCOUDERSPORT – The Coudersport Youth Football League began practice this week at Carp Park.
Vice President Brian Green said he was impressed with the number of players this year, with the Coudersport team only in its second year.
There are currently 30 PeeWee players (ages 8 – 9) and 39 Pony players (ages 10 – 12). There are also 30 cheerleaders between the squads, according to Coach Beth Weakland.
Coudersport will play in the Olean league, and is joined this year by Kane and Smethport. Port Allegany joined the league just two years ago as well.
The team will play the Pennsylvania towns along with Wellsville, Olean and Bolivar in New York state.
Coudersport will host four home games this season. A schedule will be posted as soon as it’s available.
Coudersport will open up the season on August 27, against Kane.
