County Veterans Affairs Office Providing Flags For Vets’ Graves

Potter County Veterans Affairs Director Lenny Kalkbrenner has announced that flags and markers for veterans’ graves, in observance of Memorial Day, are once again be available through his office in the Gunzburger Building. He asks representatives from veterans’ service organizations to call ahead so that the flag orders are ready. Kalkbrenner is available during regular office hours, Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 am to 3 pm, and on Wednesdays through Fridays by appointment. On a related note, the State Adjutant General’s Office recently reported veterans’ compensation and pension claims from Potter County were once again at an all-time high, as a result of an effective outreach effort spearhearded by Director Kalkbrenner and veterans’ service organizations.
