Crash on SR44 with Injuries
1 min readInvestigator James Culvey of the PSP Coudersport reports on a crash which took place on 4-19-12 at 2055 hours on State Highway 44 approximately 2/10 miles south of State Highway 4006 Carpenter Road. Diane Ruback, 52, of Shinglehouse was travelling northbound on SR44 when she struck a deer with her 1995 Chrysler Town and Country. Her vehicle then traveled partially into the oncoming lane. Heather Musser, 26, of Coudersport was travelling southbound on SR44 in her 2005 Dodge Neon and struck the front end of the Chrysler. Both operators were injured. Ruback was transported by Roulette Ambulance to CCMH and subsequently airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Musser was transported by Coudersport Ambulance to CCMH. Both operators were wearing their safety belts. Coudersport Volunteer Fire Company assisted at the scene. Both units were towed from the scene by Kightlinger’s.
