Crash With Rollover

Investigator Gregory Moore of the Mansfield PSP reports on a crash which took place 4-20-12 at 1720 hours on State Highway 549 459 feet south of T717.  The crash occurred as Gloria Glaz, 63, of Wellsboro was travelling north on SR549 when she allowed the vehicle to drift over onto the east berm.  Upon realizing this, she oversteered to the left in an attempt to get back into the northbound lane.  Her vehicle then entered into a counter-clockwise yaw travelling across both lanes of traffic before travelling off the highway striking a mailbox with the passenger side of the vehicle.  Upon initial impact the vehicle continued sliding sideways striking a bush with the passenger side of the vehicle.  This caused the vehicle to roll over approximately three revolutions before coming to final rest on its wheels facing in a southwesterly direction.  State Police were assisted at the scene by members of the Big Elm Fire Department.  Glaz was not injured.  She will be charged with Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
