Deadly Violence Continues in Williamsport as Man is Shot to Death on Wednesday

A man believed to be in his 30s was shot to death in the 700 block of High Street about 8 p.m. Wednesday, city police and Lycoming County Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr. said.
This latest episode of city violence spilled out nearly 20 hours after a man was critically injured in a shooting inside a home in 1200 block of West Fourth Street.
Capt. Raymond O. Kontz III, who was at the High Street shooting, said it appeared that the latest victim was shot in the street between Spruce and Green streets. It was the third shooting in the city in four days.
