Deer Collision on Route 6

A recent accident occurred on State Route 6 in Pike Township, Potter County, involving a single vehicle and a deer. The incident took place on December 18, 2025, at approximately 5:44 pm. According to the Pennsylvania State Police report, the driver, 21-year-old Brenna Miller from Coudersport, was traveling westbound on Route 6 when a deer suddenly emerged from the right side of the road.

Miller’s 2016 Ford Escape struck the deer, causing the vehicle to come to a stop on the westbound shoulder. Fortunately, Miller was wearing a lap and shoulder belt and did not suffer any injuries. The accident did not involve any other vehicles or pedestrians, and no charges were filed.

The Pennsylvania State Police, led by Investigator Corey Chamberlain, responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. Kightlinger Motors also provided assistance. The incident highlights the importance of being cautious while driving, especially during peak deer season.
