DEP Releases Video of Cabot Oil & Gas Well Leaks
1 min readDIMOCK TOWNSHIP, SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY- One clip of video shows a well head surrounded by a continuous ring of bubbles. Another reveals a rolling boil of methane bubbles. Both versions, according to state officials, indicate problems with drilling procedures.
The Pa. DEP released video clips to the I-Team of gas leaks at Cabot Oil and Gas well sites. The video, sent by the DEP, was received in the mail on Wednesday. The I-Team had requested copies of the video after Secretary John Hanger told a crowd of people in Dimock his agency had captured the images. A DEP worker recorded the video more than a year ago. Since then, one of the wells has been plugged.
