Downstate Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting 10-Yr-Old at Potter County Camp
1 min readSTEWARDSON TWP, POTTER CO. – A Meyerstown, PA man has been arrested on charges of Indecent Assault, accused of inappropriately touching a 10-year-old girl several times while vacationing at a Potter County camp.
Police say 19-year-old Sean M. Clemens traveled with his family to a private camp on McCoy Meadow Lane on the weekend of July 2 – 3, 2011. Traveling with the family was a family friend’s 10-year-old daughter.
Police say during the course of the 3-day-weekend Clemens touched the girl inappropriately several times. Police say the child reported to adults at the camp what Clemens had been doing. After departing the camp, the family traveled home and informed the child’s mother of the allegations. The mother then contacted police.
State Police in Coudersport say Clemens appeared at their barracks on December 12 and was subsequently arrested and arraigned in front of on-call District Judge Barbara Easton, who released Clemens on $20,000 unsecured bail.
A Preliminary Hearing has been scheduled for December 20 at 11:00 am.
