Drilling Opponents Protest Corbett’s Inauguration

An estimated 150 opponents of natural gas drilling in Pennsylvania attempted to protest Tom Corbett’s Inauguration today.

Although the protesters were nearly a hundred yards away from the stage where Corbett was sworn into office, the protesters could be heard over Corbett’s speech chanting, “No way, No fracking in PA!”

The organizers, backed by environmental groups, newly organized natural gas drilling opponents and even the producers of the documentary ‘Gasland’, said they hoped to draw attention to the destruction that natural gas drilling is already causing in Pennsylvania.
